STTA provides a wide range of coaching courses and programmes for all ages and standards of play. It also supports local leagues whenever possible.

STTA Coaching Objectives

• To support and signpost players to find appropriate coaching in Surrey.

• To maximise players potential.

• To provide equal and inclusive opportunity for all players, in accordance with our Values and Code of Ethics, to train and represent Surrey, subject to our standard Selection Criteria.

 

Coaching Staff
Our Head Coach, Jane Barella is a former England international and Table Tennis England Regional Coach, and has a wealth of knowledge with experience to match. She is supported by an equally experienced team in the form of, Carmen Vajdi, Goran Maric, Adam Laws and Richard Pelc.

All of our coaches regularly attend our coaching events and previous training camps have included sessions with top professional players, such as, England internationals Paul Drinkhall and Tin Tin Ho.
 

Events
The following type of events and coaching activities are run by our coaching team.
During the season:

• Training camps during school holidays and weekends

• Women and Girls only coaching sessions

• Surrey County Trials

• Surrey Closed Championships: U11 U13, U15 and U19 both separate girls and boys events, when numbers permit

• Friendly Inter County matches

• Inter League Competition
